After a 4 month break due to the marsh being swarmed by the summer mosquitos, I went back out for a morning walk. I was able to see my first Great Blue Heron of the fall season, and two Cormorants which I believed to be juveniles. Caught a few shots of them sunning themselves and some of them taking flight. They both have extremely large wingspans.

I’m trying to determine if the splashes are created by the wings or the feet.
The Great Blue flying away to find a new spot to enjoy.

They can have a wingspan of 5.5 to 6.6 feet. How crazy is that?
